The purpose of this Privacy Policy (the " Policy ") is to formalise our commitment to the privacy of users of the website operated by Sight-O SAS.

The Charter is governed by the General Conditions of Use of the Site. All capitalized terms not defined in the present Charter are defined in the General Terms of Use. For more information on the General Conditions of Use, please read carefully these General Conditions on the Site.

Personal data means any information that directly or indirectly identifies a natural person (the "Personal Data "). We collect and process Personal Data within the framework of the provision of a method of Sight-reading online music exclusively, in strict compliance with the law "Informatique et Libertés" n° 78-17 of January 6, 1978 modified. The data collected is essential for this processing. You will never be asked to provide "sensitive" Personal Data, such as your racial or ethnic origins, your political, philosophical or religious opinions.

By registering on the Website, you authorise us to process your Personal Data in accordance with the Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Policy, please do not use the Website.


1. When do we collect your Personal Data?

We may collect and retain your Personal Information, including when you :

  • browse the Site
  • create a user account
  • contact us.

1.1 Browsing the Site

Data from Sign up. Each time you connect to our Site, we passively collect information such as, but not limited to, your computer's IP address and MAC address, the date and time of Sign up, and information about your browser. 

Navigational data. We also collect information that identifies how you access the Site, which pages you visit and for how long. We may make use of Cookies as set out below.

1.2 Creating an Account

Certain accesses to the Site require the prior creation of an Account. In accordance with the General Terms and Conditions, you will be asked to provide a certain amount of Personal Data when creating your Account, in particular your first and last names, your postal address and your email address.

1.3 Payment

You agree that we may use external service providers to collect your Personal Data for the purpose of enabling the proper functioning of the credit card payment processing and, where applicable, service delivery services.

To pay for your purchase, you must provide your full name, postal address, email address, country and payment details, i.e. your payment card number, cardholder name, validity date and security codes, in order to process your payment. You may also be asked to provide the name of your telecoms operator, mobile phone model and a valid mobile number so that purchase instructions can be provided directly through your mobile phone.

We keep details of your payments, as well as details of the purchases you make. Details of transactions are held either on our systems or by the external provider. This retention is for internal purposes, including accounting, compliance and legal purposes in accordance with paragraph 5 of this Policy.

1.4 Joining our Newsletter

When creating your Account, you can give your consent to receive newsletters about updates (new instruments available, technical updates,...), new products, services and promotions.

1.5 Contacts

In order to follow up on any requests you may make to our Customer Service Department and to confirm your information, we will use your full name, email address and date of birth.

2. How do we protect your Personal Information?

We have implemented technical and organisational security measures to guarantee the security, integrity and confidentiality of all your Personal Data, in order to prevent it from being distorted, damaged or accessed by unauthorised third parties. We ensure a level of security appropriate to the risks associated with the processing and the nature of the data to be protected, taking into account the level of technology and the cost of implementation.

However, no method of data transmission via the Internet or electronic storage can guarantee 100% security. 

As a result, we are unfortunately not able to guarantee absolute security for your Personal Data.

Furthermore, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password that allows you to access your Account. Do not share this information with anyone. If you share your computer, remember to log out before leaving a Service.

3. How do we use your Personal Information?

We use your Personal Information to enable the implementation and management of the Site's services, to respond to your specific requests. We also use your Personal Information to improve our approach and our Site. This information is used solely by us and allows us to better tailor our services to your needs. 

If you have opted-in to receive emails and mini-messages from us when you create your Account, then you will receive email and alpha-numeric messages about our products and promotions. We will then use the Personal Information you provided when you registered. You may unsubscribe from this service at any time.

4. When do we share your Personal Information?

We undertake not to disclose your Personal Data to any third party without obtaining your express prior consent.

No Personal Data is transferred outside the European Union.


4.1 Sharing your Personal Data with third parties

When you browse the Site, your Personal Information may be transmitted to external service providers. These third parties provide a service on our behalf to enable the smooth operation of credit card and other payments.

Unless a third party asks you to agree to its own privacy policy and terms of use, third party companies that receive your Personal Data will only share it with us. 

We will never, without your prior consent, share Personal Data with third party companies for marketing and/or commercial purposes.

4.2 Sharing with authorities

We may disclose Personal Data to administrative or judicial authorities when disclosure is necessary for the identification, arrest or prosecution of any individual who may be prejudicial to our rights, or the rights of any other user or third party. Finally, we may be legally required to disclose Personal Data and cannot object to such disclosure.

5. How long do we keep your Personal Data?

We will only keep your Personal Data for the time of your registration on the Site in order to ensure your identification at Sign up and, where applicable, the provision of products or services. Except where laws and regulations impose a different retention period, we will retain your Personal Data for a period strictly necessary in accordance with the uses set out in this Policy.

If you unsubscribe from the Site, your Personal Data will be deleted and only kept as an archive for the purpose of establishing proof of a right or a contract which may be archived in accordance with the provisions of the Commercial Code relating to the duration of the retention of books and documents created in the course of commercial activities and of the Consumer Code relating to the retention of contracts concluded by electronic means

6. Cookies: how do we use them?

6.1 What is a cookie?

7. What are your rights?

In accordance with Articles 38, 39 and 40 of the amended Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms, you have the right to query and access your Personal Data, the right to rectify and delete such data and the right to object to their use for legitimate reasons. You may also object to the processing of your Personal Data for canvassing purposes.

8. Can we change the Charter?
